CEO & Founder
Jim Biniyaz
Jim Koohyar Biniyaz is the founder and CEO of ResilientX Security. He has spent more than a decade in cyber security, starting at the technical end of the industry: he began his career on a help desk and as a software developer, moved into engineering, product and DevOps management roles, and built the detection and automation tooling that later shaped how he thinks about security products.
Before ResilientX Security he co-founded DeltaThreat, a deep-tech, AI-based company specialising in Network Detection and Response, where he served as CTO and guided the company to an exit in 2022. Along the way he worked closely with European mid-market companies and service providers, and saw first-hand how NIS2, DORA and ISO 27001 were turning security into paperwork that added little real protection.
He founded ResilientX Security in 2022 to change that: one platform that discovers an organisation’s real exposure, tests it, manages third-party risk and proves compliance, so companies come out of a regulation more secure rather than just better documented. Today he leads the company’s strategy, product direction and growth from Italy, across its Italian and UK entities, and works directly with customers, partners and investors.
Jim writes regularly on exposure management, third-party risk and cyber resilience for publications such as Entrepreneur, ReadWrite and CyberExperts, speaks at European security and start-up events, and sits on start-up juries. He holds that compliance should be a strength a company can show its customers, not a cost it absorbs.
